Atex-approval for vacuum cleaners
October 1st 2006 Nilfisk-Advance has extended it range of ATEX approved industrial vacuum cleaners to reduce the risk of fire and explosions in hazardous working environments. New additions include the A 500 and AS 1000 compressed air vacs. These flameproof, non-electrical models are certified for use in ATEX Zones 1/2 (gas and dust) and 21/22 (combustible dust) and are suitable for recovering solid debris and liquid spills. The compact A 500 combines a 23.6kPa vacuum with a 7000cm2 filter area, while the larger A 1000 has a vacuum power of 44kPa and filter area of 19 500cm2. These machines are complemented by the new single-phase IVB 7X vac with ATEX Zone 22 approval, which includes materials such as grain, peat, soot and cellulose.
