Modular broom
April 1st 2005

Keen to ensure that its depots are always shipshape, plant and tool hire firm, GAP, has purchased Broadwood’s SweepEx modular broom system to keep sites free from dust in summer and clear of mud and debris in winter.

Acquired through Broadwood’s dealer, Load Lift, the Pro-720 ultraheavy duty brush is quickly coupled to a forklift truck using a specially designed hitch. Instead of taking an employee several hours to sweep a yard, the task is now completed is less than half an hour.

A total of 22 SweepEx modular broom systems have now been sold to GAP sites throughout the UK and feedback has been positive from both depot personnel and customers.

The unit’s compact design allows a powerful sweeping action forwards and backwards, giving rapid, efficient and economical sweeping of large areas. Broom heads and mounting hardware are made from industrial strength steel, with a heavy-duty powder coat finish.
