Safe sweeping on site October 1st 2009 Following its relocation to a new
£70M facility on the old Ravenscraig
site, the janitorial team at Motherwell
College in Lanarkshire
has invested in the new Nilfisk RS502.
The diesel powered vacuumated
road sweeper copes is capable of
picking up full cans and bricks and its
pressure washer facility is used to
clean bin areas and remove chewing
gum and graffiti from hard surfaces.
The sweeper's salt spreader
accessory helps protect staff and
students against slip risk from ice on
roadways and walkways; at the first
hint of a frost the salt spreader is
attached to the sweeper and dispenses
salt evenly across all areas. A flashing
beacon and reverse warning ensure
people are safe around the sweeper.
Autumn leaf fall is also expected to
put the RS502 through its paces as a
significant number of trees have been
planted on the new site although they
are unlikely to present a real problem
until better established. More articles from Nilfisk: |
