IR LIGHT CURTAIN FOR LIFT DOORS
August 1st 2004 The Panachrome from Memco is a lift door safety system that combines an infrared light curtain with coloured indicators showing door movement.
The indicators show green when the doors are opening, flash red as they start to close, and stay red as doors move together. The light curtain consists of 154 invisible beams that detect obstruction and prevent the doors closing on passengers. The system complies with EN81-70 regulations for the visually impaired.
By virtually eliminating lift door collisions, the system also helps reduce maintenance calls.
As it is just 10mm wide, the Panachrome can be added to virtually any lift doors without modification. Installation is straight-forward and an auto-compensating gain control system means plug and play without needing any special adjustments. More articles from Memco Limited: |
