Energy efficient fire exit sign
December 1st 2006

Signbox believes that its Signkit low voltage FE LED fire exit sign could provide small businesses that are now responsible for their Fire Safety Order with a low maintenance solution.

The energy-efficient sign has a minimum life of 60 000h and an automatic battery back-up to ensure continuous illumination in the event of power failure.

The sign complies with Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) regulations 1996 and comes with a battery back-up unit to keep the sign illuminated for more than 3h during a power failure. The company says that the sign does not require maintenance and that it consumes 80% less power when compared to similar T2 fluorescent systems.

The sign is available in two standard sizes (480 by 160mm or 300 by 100mm) or can be bespoke. It comprises a clear acrylic panel (10 or 8mm thick) with laser engraved and infilled graphics. Both panels feature a silver anodised aluminium mounting system.
