To help business owners and facilities managers tackle the complexities of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies is offering a free, unbiased assessment service of a company's doorsets and door hardware.

Under the RRFSO, the responsibility for fire safety rests with the 'responsible person', ie building owners and managers. It covers virtually all buildings, from offices to factories and schools to leisure centres and places the onus firmly on the employer or building owner to provide an adequate risk assessment to comply with the law.

With a duty of care to employees, visitors and the need to minimise risk, sourcing the correct product and getting the right advice and support is essential.

Even once the appropriate systems have been selected and installed, ongoing maintenance is critical to ensure the integrity of the doorset and hardware is preserved throughout its lifecycle.
