The Fire Safety Order requires those responsible for the ownership or management of premises to produce comprehensive Fire Risk Assessments. Fire Authorities have powers to inspect premises and to prosecute non-compliance.

If premises contain a catering or food production facility, the grease extract system, which fire authorities regard as a high risk fire installation, must be included in the Fire Risk Assessment and action taken to eliminate any grease deposits in the ducting.

Indepth Hygiene Services is an accredited HVCA contractor and will carry out a survey of grease extraction systems and provide a fire status report free of charge.

This will provide information for the preparation of the Fire Risk Assessment and detail action necessary to eliminate any identified risks.
