High demand for fire guidanc
April 1st 2008

The Door and Hardware Federation (DHF) reports a rocketing demand for its Code of Practice on hardware for fire and escape doors, as more building owners become aware of their extra responsibilities.

The Code of Practice (available to download from www.firecode.org.uk) offers advice on relevant products and standards to help and guide all those responsible for fire safety in buildings, regardless of the amount of knowledge they have of door hardware.

The Code identifies the main issues affecting products' fire safety when they are fitted to doors.
