Warning for the hard of hearing
August 1st 2006

Deaf Alerter is a fire alarm warning and messaging system for deaf and hard of hearing people. It is already installed in many large public access buildings, such as New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton and comprises a VHF radio transmitter and aerial that is permanently connected to the hospital's fire alarm system.

It responds instantly to an alarm, sending a message to the handheld Alerter that flashes and vibrates to attract the user's attention.
