Durable floor marking October 1st 2006 ASG Services has completed its largest ever line marking project, creating 11 000m of line marking, 788 characters and digits, 112 floor embedded labels and several hatched blocks for a Worksop distribution centre. Two colours were chosen: green to identify pedestrian areas and yellow for block stacking areas and marshalling lanes. Areas where forklifts and personnel operate in close proximity required a marking system that would serve as a constant reminder of the dangers present and the need always to keep areas clear. Hatching in bright yellow provides an intense display of floor identification which is commonly seen in use as road markings for controlled zones. Zebra crossings have also been created. ASG's floor-embedded barcode system is used for floor location ID. Floor labels were applied by specialist machinery to all block storage locations, providing a durable solution.
