Highest slip resistance
October 1st 2009

Grip Rock, the new safety matting for kitchen frying areas and potentially dangerous floors has achieved an R13 rating on the DIN51130 standard – the highest rating possible with slip resistance in excess of a 35 degree angle.

Introduced by Plastic Extruders at Domotex, Grip Rock has proved to be one of the safest slip resistant mattings for floors which are subject to grease and water. Originally designed for dangerous frying areas in kitchens and fast food outlets, its composition and physical performance also make it ideal for preparation areas where oils, spillage and dropped food make safety underfoot vital.

Grip Rock is constructed in three layers comprising a tough and durable wearing surface made with ceramic and crushed garnet beads, a fibreglass interlayer to provide strength and a polyurethane backing which grips the floor and restricts creep. The low 3mm profile reduces the risk of tripping.
