Marking solutions June 1st 2006 ASG Services has completed work with Port of Tyne on a major project to improve the safety and efficiency of its facility on Tyneside.
Problems with an existing floor marking system prompted Port of Tyne to turn to ASG Services to overcome severe cracking and damage.
A combination of fork truck movements and an original coating better suited to external rather than internal environments, were identified as the cause of the problem.
ASG Services' floor marking methods and purpose-designed machinery were used at the site to prepare and then coat the floor with a two-part epoxy paint. The site now has 1727 linear metres of floor lines, alongside numbers and letters that identify areas for temporary pallet storage, pedestrian walkways and parking, with restriction zones also clearly marked.
