Stepping up comfort
September 1st 2009

A Swedish company specialising in the manufacture of insulated medical cases for the transportation of human organs has improved comfort in its production areas by laying long lengths of anti-fatigue and slip resistant Zed Tred matting.

Zed Tred from Plastic Extruders is used in light to heavy duty industrial environments, especially where people stand for long periods, operate machinery or walk up and down production lines. The matting is designed to improve comfort underfoot by combining hardwearing vinyl with high density foam backing, both of which are permanently fused together. A textured rib surface provides high slip resistance while foam gives the matting the correct degree of cushioning to improve concentration and reduce tiredness.

The matting will also withstand oil, chemical and acid spillages.
