Portable hot water hand wash station
April 1st 2008

The portable Hygienius hot water hand wash station from Teal needs no mains water or plumbing connections to operate and is ready to use as soon as it is plugged in to a 13A socket. It is lightweight and rollers enable it to be positioned where needed.

Fully automatic, the unit allows individuals to wash their hands without touching a tap – the action of placing hands in the bowl triggers a sensor which instantly heats water and then delivers a 10sec wash at 40 to 45°C.

An illuminated sign on the front is a constant reminder to wash hands and ensures the polyethylene unit with acrylic capped ABS bowl is visible.

The TEALtainer stores 10L of clean water; a separate compartment stores dirty water.

Teal says that the Hygienius uses 75% less water than some automatic taps to provide a 10sec hand wash.
