Legionella risk assessments October 1st 2007 AquaCare Water Hygiene
Services has started work on
a seven-year programme of
Legionella risk assessments
for the Ministry of Defence.
The programme involves
more than 450 buildings at
British Forces' installations
across Cyprus, as well as the
training of local staff.
As part of Defence Estates
policy instruction 37/2--4,
the Ministry of Defence is
required to undertake
Legionella risk assessments
and reviews at all its
establishments. Farrer
Consulting won the contract
to conduct these
assessments and reviews
across all MoD bases in
Cyprus and called on the
experience of its sister
company, AquaCare Water
Hygiene to audit the
contract.
The company is ensuring
that all British Forces'
domestic water, process
water and air/water systems
in Cyprus comply with
current UK water hygiene
legislation, particularly the
HSE's ACoP L8 and Water
Supply (Fittings)
Regulations, 1999. These
risk assessments identify
areas of concern and any
remedial works necessary. More articles from Aqua Care Water Hygiene Servs: |
