Bespoke barriers June 1st 2010 Gatwick Airport benefits from a
bespoke design of safety barrier from
A-safe. The company's hexagonal
Atlas barrier has been designed to
replace steel structures which
Gatwick was previously using for
mast protection. It will be rolled out
across the apron to provide effective
protection to all masts and columns.
A-Safe's range of barriers is
sufficiently flexible to withstand
impacts, exceeding the BAA standard
6-9 times. If hit by a vehicle, the
barrier springs back into shape
without bending or buckling. The
polymer that is used in producing
the barriers has high level absorption
properties that ensure the airport
benefits from long term, low cost
maintenance and repair. More articles from A-Safe (UK) Ltd: |
