FOAM TECHNOLOGY HELPS CUT COSTS
April 1st 2004

Tennant first introduced its Foam Scrubbing Technology (FaST) to walk-behind scrubber dryers. It has now made it available for ride-on machines.

Benefits claimed include an increase of up to 30% on productivity, simplified machine operation, and a reduction in labour costs, water and detergent.

The FaST foam is said to clean as well as conventional detergents. Using an on-board FaST-PAK cartridge, the system automatically feeds on the necessary concentrate and mixes it with water and air.

By the time the foam is recovered by the machine, it has completely returned to its liquid state. Floors are clean and, with less water used, they are dry.

The system removes the need for time-consuming tank filling and emptying, reducing labour costs. One FaST-PAK is the equivalent of 200l of detergent, yet it is said to be just 1% of the size, volume and weight.

Tennant also says that the biodegradable, phosphate-free system helps to reduce environmental impact.
