GREASE DEPOSITS QUICKLY ELIMINATED
August 1st 2005

Coca-Cola Enterprises has awarded a contract to Indepth Hygiene Services to clean the kitchen grease extract ventilation system at its Milton Keynes soft drinks plant every six months.

Its site in Northfield, Milton Keynes operates 24 hours a day, 364 days per year and has a staff canteen that caters for the 300 staff at the site, providing a range of hot food around the clock. A grease extract ventilation system draws hot air from a canopy in the kitchen, and when the extract fan failed it had to be repaired as quickly as possible.

The fan was removed for rewinding, presenting the ideal opportunity for the ventilation ductwork to be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Specially trained operatives were quickly on site to trace the route of the ductwork and survey the entire system.

The ductwork clean was completed by the time the fan was returned to enable the kitchen to resume catering with minimum disruption. Indepth Hygiene Services will now clean the system every six months to ensure safety.
