Strict hygiene regulations mean many glazed or tiled walls are unacceptable, and re-grouting may not satisfy health demands.

Starsystem Scrubbable Coating, a tough, virtually odourless epoxy resin coating from Watco is said to be equally effective and hygienic on ceramic tiles, brick, concrete or plaster.

It can be applied to damp surfaces, where it both decorates and proofs, providing scrub resistance in a non-toxic gloss finish.

Certified for fire retardancy, and approved for water ‘potability’, it has the Water Research Centre mark of approval and will not support bacterial or fungal growth.
