Caring for cradles

Cradle access specialist, OCS Technical, has signed five-year contract with clients of chartered surveyor Lamb & Edge to provide maintenance services for one of its sites.

OCS has worked with Lamb & Edge for several years, providing annual maintenance of its cradle systems for clients. The new contract increases the service provided to include emergency call-out cover. Incorporated in the contract is a preventive maintenance programme that will entail site specific risk assessments. These are critical to ensure the safety of cleaning and maintenance staff working on a building where there is a risk of slips or falls from height, or electrocution from outdoor cables.

Safety measures for all building access equipment, such as window cleaning cradles, are also taken into consideration. Inspections and assessments ensure maintenance is carried out with a clear knowledge of the building.
