Court compliance October 1st 2005 Tubular fittings from Kee Klamp are helping Woking Magistrates Court meet the requirements of the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) and Building Regulations Pt.M:2004.
Fittings from the company’s 500 Series have been used to construct five new handrailing structures at the main entrance to the court, ensuring safe, easy access for all visitors.
By installing the handrailing, the Court is ensuring compliance with the latest health, safety and legislative guidelines.
The new 500 Series of Kee Klamp fittings is designed to give a smooth handrail with size 7 tube (outside diameter 42.4mm). It is therefore compatible with the DDA recommendations.
The fittings can be powder coated in a choice of RAL colours to meet the visibility and ‘not cold to the touch’ requirements of the DDA.
The series incorporates nine new fittings and can be used to create new structures.
The fittings range can also be used as a retrofit solution; it includes an offset fitting that allows a new handrail to be added onto existing structures of an appropriate size. |
