Deals with snow/ice
December 1st 2004

A cost effective means of dealing with snow and ice on carparks, roads, intersections and public thoroughfares is available from Broadwood International.

The companys SnowEx spreader is a low-maintenance, direct drive system that can be attached to any vehicle using a fixed or pivot mount.

Designed primarily for bulk salt and sand spreading, the system consists of a two-stage auger system and independent spinner/auger controller.

The auger system design is said to assure a positive, steady feed of materials, eliminating clogging and flow problems. The cab-mounted independent spinner/auger controller allows for both independent spinner speed and flow volume calibration to provide infinite spread pattern control.
