Portable unit aids decontamination
April 1st 2007

When damaged or poorly handled, the contents of leadacid batteries can become lethal.

Contact with the skin can result in serious chemical burns.

Showers & Eyebaths Services has introduced a portable addition to its eyewash range. This allows a decontamination facility to be brought directly to the victim, avoiding any further discomfort or pain through unnecessary movement.

The E250 self-contained Portable Eye & Face wash can be easily carried into action as soon as required.

The 18L cylinder of stainless steel has trigger operation and dust cover. Its 1.5m flexible stainless steel hose allows contaminants to be rinsed from any part of the body.

The portable Eye & Face wash is also available with two stainless steel cylinders, holding 30L of water, which can be fitted with a trolley for easy transportation to the victim. Waste water is collected in the underneath of the unit for easy disposal.
