Custom cage
October 1st 2010

Fire and security specialist, STI (Europe), has worked with Fire Fighting Enterprises (FFE) to create protective cages for FFE's Fireray 5000 motorised beam detector.

FFE has worked with STI for several years, employing protective cages from STI on a number of detectors within the Fireray range. With the introduction of the Fireray 5000 model, a motorised auto aligning infrared optical beam smoke detector, FFE realised that a cage was not available from the standard STI range to accommodate the detector and the control box. FFE therefore worked with STI to jointly design a new cage.

Steel cages can be used to protect critical fire and security components such as detectors, CCTV cameras, beacons and sounders, as well as lighting.
