Contains spills of fuel and oil
October 1st 2006

The Plant Nappy from Fosse Liquitrol is designed for external use to contain and absorb oil and fuel spills from generators and other site equipment while draining clean, pure rainwater through the filter mechanism.

The base of the mat is non-permeable fabric laminated with an oil soak pad to absorb the oil.

It is protected by a permeable top fabric that allows free passage of contaminants.

Ian Cassons, group environmental manager with Barhale Construction had concerns with drip trays under small site equipment. He says "They are heavy, difficult to move and easily spilled when full of oily water." He now recommends Plant Nappies for all Barhale sites.

Approved for use in the water industry, the Plant Nappy is said to be lightweight and easy to handle.
