Explosion-protected cameras August 1st 2007 Forward Vision CCTV has introduced an explosionprotected, ATEX-certified version of the MIC1 series of pan-tilt zoom cameras. The MIC1-440 is designed to provide effective surveillance at critical infrastructure sites. The device recently completed its ATEXcertification testing, allowing it to address the needs of, for example, the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. The release of MIC1-440 coincides with the development of multiple communication protocol capability, enabling easy integration into various video management platforms. The recent developments in the MIC1 product family are consistent with the Extreme CCTV Group's plan to support and grow the Forward Vision company which it acquired on 31st July 2006.
