Hidden message

The Buncefield petroleum fire has a hidden message for the management of large organisations, according to asset protection specialist Reflex, whose digital CCTV surveillance systems at Hemel Hempstead could eventually identify the cause of the fire.

John Pye, MD, believes that CCTV and integrated technologies will increasingly be seen as an essential part of a company's health and safety regime, helping to identify risks before incidents happen and, in the worst case scenario, providing high quality evidence that can be replayed to fully understand the cause.
