Cracking static
February 1st 2005

A new floor matting is available from Plastex to cope with the problem of electro-static discharge in the workplace. Static buildup not only gives personnel unpleasant effects, but can affect or damage electrical components.

Zedland matting can be used for cleanroom and dry areas where employees may be affected in staticsensitive environments.

The high density foam matting incorporates ESD properties and is said to have good anti-fatigue performance that the reduces the tiredness that results from standing for long periods.

The vinyl foam construction is hard wearing and will help to deaden sound. It comes in various mat sizes or roll lengths in grey and blue.

The company’s ESD range also includes Vynastat, that is claimed to be the only ESD open-grid matting on the market. The flexible PVC construction of both products provides users with a slip-resistant surface.
