Designed to reduce cross-contamination
February 1st 2006

Hand towels designed to reduce the risk of crosscontamination are available from Tork manufacturer SCA Tissue Europe.

Tork Hand Towel Rolls provide an alternative to textile roller towels, some of which have a tendency to jam, leaving only a soiled length of towel available.

The disposable roll comes in a dispenser that automatically cuts the towels to size, leaving a short length of towel ready for the next user. This means that each user touches only his or her towel, so the risk of crosscontamination is kept to a minimum.

The dispenser has no sharp edges where dirt can collect and has few moving parts.

Towel rolls are available in Universal, Advanced and Premium versions. The cutting mechanism operates with a short delay that discourages users from taking more towel than they need.
