A hand towel system designed to reduce the risk of cross-contamination is available SCA Tissue Europe.

Tork hand towel rolls come in a dispenser that automatically cuts the towel to size, leaving a short length ready for the next user. This means that each person touches only his or her towel and the risk of cross-contamination is kept to a minimum.

Easy to maintain, the dispenser has no sharp edges where dirt can collect.

Towels are available in Universal, Advanced and Premium versions. The automatic cutting mechanism inside the dispenser operates with a short delay that discourages users from taking more towel than they need.

The company also provides Tork Premium Hand Towel Interfold that comes in a TAD Soft version. This is said to be particularly suitable for use in hospitals and food environments where frequent hand washing takes place and where use of rougher towels may result in chapping.
