Static waste compactor February 1st 2005 Randalls Fabrications has supplied a giant Simpak 5000 static waste compactor to Enviroco to help deal with waste collected as part of a waste contract awarded by a North Sea oil producer.
The unit has a large capacity charge box and hopper and a 22kW motor driving up to a nominal 177m3/h, at a compaction force of 45 600kgf. The machine’s hydraulic power pack is a separate, easily maintained unit designed for rapid cycling and reliability.
The power pack also has the main isolator, key switch isolator, emergency stop, start and warning indicators.
Waste is sorted to remove recyclable materials and the remainder is then lifted by grab into the compactor. This fills about twice a week, producing 30t of compacted waste. More articles from Skip Units Group: |
