BE PREPARED FOR NEW LEGISLATION
August 1st 2005

New Noise at Work Regulations that come into force on 15th February 2006 will lower the noise level at which employers must make hearing protection available from 85 to 80dB(A).

In anticipation of these regulations, Safetyshop has extended its range of products to help educate, warn and reduce the potential effects of noise within the workplace.

Included in the company’s latest catalogue are: • a competitively priced sound level meter with many features that the company says are usually only found on more expensive instruments; • risk assessment software wallcharts and pocket guides to provide information and training • ear defenders, ear muffs and earplugs • safety signs to inform employees when they are entering an area where the wearing of hearing protection is mandatory.
