Colour-coded
August 1st 2005

Scott Health & Safety‘s Protector hearing protection range now provides clearer product identification, aiding both the safety manager and the wearer.

Protector’s helmetmounted and headband range of ear defenders will now be supplied with highly visible colour-coded inserts. These help to improve identification of the product in the workplace and make the worker more visible in industrial and outdoor environments.

Coloured inserts identify the performance of the earmuff. Protector EH8/EC8 products have SNR ratings of 27/26 respectively, have a blue insert and are for general industrial noise.

EH10/EC10 are for heavier industrial environments, have SNR ratings of 30/29 and a highly visible yellow insert.

EH12/EC12 is for extreme noise environments and is said to provide the ultimate in passive hearing protection for the user.

SNR ratings are 33/32 and the earmuff has a highly visible green insert.
