COMPLY TO NOISE AT WORK REGS
August 1st 2004

Pulsar Instruments has introduced a new sound level meter that is very simple to use, yet robust, comprehensive and effective. Complying with the latest standards for sound level meters, the new Assessor can be used for the measurement of workplace noise levels, for assessment of environmental noise levels and for general purpose noise measurement and assessment. There is no complicated pre-operation set up procedure and during the measurement the instrument displays all current parameters with a bar graph representing the current sound level. The device is calibrated simply by pressing Cal. Measurement is controlled using the restart or stop function. When measurement has ended, all of the parameters are displayed simultaneously. The last measurement is stored and is shown when Assessor is next switched on. Typical measurement range is (broadband) 57 to 130dB(A) class 1 or 2, 143 dB(C) peak.
