Cirrus Research has announced the introduction of the new CR:264 Octave Band Sound Level Meter. James Tingay of the company says The CR:264 joins the recently introduced CR:262 in a new range of simple to use Sound Level Meters that have been designed specifically to meet the needs of the safety officer. This new instrument adds Octave Band Filters to the basic CR:262 instrument, and allows the user to make the measurements that can then be used for the selection of appropriate PPE. The CR:264 can be supplied as a complete measurement kit that includes all of the accessories needed to make a noise survey. if data logging and pc download are needed, the CR:264 can be upgraded to allow up to 100 measurements to be stored in the memory.
