HELPING TO MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION
August 1st 2004

Anachem has introduced a new range of economical, easy to use calibrators that measure noise levels in the workplace and identify worker exposure levels. The new range includes equipment for every environment, all of which enable health and safety officers and other personnel carry out detailed risk assessments, make informed decisions on the purchase of appropriate hearing protection equipment and comply with the new European Directive for Noise at Work. The new legislation will bring the first action exposure level down to 80dB(A), the second to 90dB(A) with a new maximum exposure limit of 87dB(A), taking into account the reduction afforded by hearing protection.
