A kind of magic
July 1st 2009

It was said to be a truly magical evening at this year's International Safety Awards banquet held at the Grosvenor Hotel, London, hosted by the British Safety Council (BSC). Business leaders and managers from around the world were entertained by magicians, illusionists, singers and dancers at an event held to celebrate the best in health and safety practice at work.

The award ceremony saw over 200 of the BSC's member organisations presented with the coveted International Safety Award (ISA). The award is globally recognised as a benchmark for safety performance and recognises the success of companies with exemplary safety standards. This year 633 companies from all over the world won the award including companies from retail to construction industries.
