Environmental and safety accreditation
February 1st 2008

To enhance its safety and environmental procedures, hire company, A-Plant, is working towards ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation. The company has had an established Environmental Management System for a number of years which applies to those environmental aspects over which the organisation has control and where it can be expected to have an influence.

The company's EHS Management System is based on the following principles: Prevention of pollution, including waste, fuel emissions and noise Prevention of accidents and occupational ill health Minimisation of energy, material use and the production of waste Effective and responsible waste management and disposal A-Plant believes that by having its EHS risk management systems independently assessed by the British standards Institute through ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation, its customers will see a number of benefits.
