Step up - site stairway system
October 1st 2005

Combisafe International has designed the ‘Combisafe Site Stairway’.

Easy to erect, it is available in 6 sizes, up to 7.5m in length, but most importantly workers can walk forwards, ensuring maximum safety and comfort when on site.

The Stairways are quickly and easily installed on site, straight off the back of the transport, and are ready for use in minutes.

Being over 750mm wide, the stairway permits occasional passing if required. For high passage rates the Stairways can be set up in pairs, each for one way traffic.

Whatever the angle of the stairway, the treads will always be horizontal, and they have an expanded steel mesh surface to prevent slips.

There is a double handrail on both sides, which automatically adjusts to the correct height, and a locking device to engage once the stairway is at the correct angle.

The treads have a course expanded metal plate for grip which also clears muddy footwear in use.

The stairways come in six sizes that can be joined and supported to offer a single run climb height of up to 7.5m.

Other special sizes can be made on request.

As well as being easy to erect and dismantle, one of the Site Stairway’s key benefits is that it can be easily folded and thus can be transported flat.
