Marigold launches glove guide
October 1st 2005 Marigold Industrial is publishing a new educational glove guide specifically about its chemical resistant products within the industrial and engineering sector.
The Hazardous Compounds leaflet lists features, benefits and performance indicators for 20 types of gloves. The new guide also summarises European standards for CE marking, chemical guidelines, a 10-point checklist for healthy hands and details on inspecting gloves regularly for defects and deterioration.
Marigold Industrial, marketing manager, Donald Gillespie says: "The growing use and complexity of hazardous chemical substances within the workplace means we see the need for greater education in identifying and guarding against them as a matter of paramount concern.
"We want to heighten awareness within industry of the dangers of even seemingly innocuous chemicals and to encourage workers and health and safety managers to seek professional advice in ensuring that the protection chosen is fully suited to the demands of the job and to the substances involved."
