MATTING HELPS TO CUT FATIGUE
October 1st 2004

Long-term standing can be debilitating and tiring, especially when the floor surface is hard. This can result in a slowing in production and loss of concentration.

Faced with this problem, Remploy has introduced into its Norwich factory Zed Tred, an anti-fatigue floorcovering from Plastic Extruders.

Installed in the machine packaging areas, it has improved the comfort of employees working on steel floors and also cut noise.

The Zed range comprises seven different mattings for a variety of light to heavy duty uses. Zed Tred comprises a Flexitred heavy duty ribbed surface that will never delaminate from its fused foam base. This combination is said to provide a hard-wearing, slip-resistant surface that is resistant to oil, chemical and acid spills and has an integral cushioning base.
