CONFORMS TO NEW STANDARDS
February 1st 2004

Developer Higgins Homes has provided extra safety for workers building a five-story structure in Romford, Essex, by installing SGBs new edge protection system, Extraguard.

The system is designed to set a new standard in the market for robustness, ease of installation and durability and satisfy the new requirements outlined in the European (British) Standard for edge protection prEN13374.

Extraguard triple wire fence panels provide security and the fast erection J-lock post fixing allows for ease of installation. A universal fence post and a range of fixing components means the system is suitable for many different site applications. In Romford, about 400m of Extraguard was supplied by SGBs Edmonton branch. Each Extraguard panel measures 2.6m wide by 1.15m high.
