Courting a safe solution
August 1st 2007 A comprehensive fall protection and access system solution has been provided for eight Magistrates Courts in the South East. Essential to the project was the need for a fast track installation, which was met with ease by Safetyworks & Solutions, who completed the entire project in just six weeks. The refurbishment included the need for fast track installation of systems that would ensure safe movement around the roof, providing maintenance crews and external contractors with secure access. Safetyworks & Solutions' Easyguard permanent freestanding handrails in a variety of finishes were installed on 2000m of roof area encompassing the eight court locations. Easyguard's base plates have bonded ribbed rubber mats with a foam infill that reduces the heat transference to the roof membrane, thus minimising degradation. To complete the installation, the company manufactured and installed a combination of 46 access ladders and walkways to ensure safe access to the roof for maintenance staff.
