Helping cut risk of falls
August 1st 2008

Oxford Safety Components will show its new vehicle inspection pit cover at Safety & Health 08. This folding cover prevents any person falling into a transport workshop pit, avoiding injuries or worse.

Deployed from within the pit – eliminating any danger to the operator – the Cave cover is easy to retract and erect: Drive vehicle over the pit, fold cover down against the walls of the pit to gain full access to the vehicle underside and, when work is finished, raise the cover to protect the void of the pit and drive the vehicle away. This mean the pit is never an exposed hazard in the workshop.

Also being demonstrated will be Oxford Safety Components' equipment designed to prevent falls by bricklayers on walls and gables, roof carpenters on roof trusses, and all trades who working above stairways and in attic roof spaces.
