Specialist harness
February 1st 2007

Miller, the fall arrest brand from Bacou-Dalloz, has launched Ropax, a specialist rope access and rescue operations harness, designed to meet the demanding requirements of the telecoms and utilities sectors, the rescue services and the armed forces.

The harness has been designed with special emphasis on optimising the wearer's safe working position. It is said to minimise wearer fatigue and the risks from suspension trauma, so the user can safely work longer.

Features include a new suspension position that splits the pressure across four points instead of two.

Force is distributed across the legs and belt instead of just on the legs. An optional Ergo Soft Pad protects the back and gives freedom of movement, while an adjustable chest strap holds the worker tight in the harness.
