Swift, safe unloading
August 1st 2007

Falls from vehicles continue to contribute to the number of accidents reported on site every year.

easi-edge, a provider of edge protection systems and safety solutions, recognises the importance of safe loading and unloading on site and has developed the Trailarrest system.

The company comments that it is the contractor's responsibility to make arrangements for the safe delivery and unloading of materials to their sites. The Trailarrest system uses a user-friendly system for the swift and safe loading and unloading of flat bed trailers. The system comprises robust safety netting, steel posts and a steel top frame.

The easi-edge system is quick and easy to install and full training is provided to ensure that the system is used correctly, thereby reducing the risk of injuries and fatalities.

The Trailarrest system has been recognised as a solution by The British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA) and is showcased in its advice leaflet BCSA Guide to Work at Height during the Loading and Unloading of Steelwork.
