CREATES TEMPORARY LIFELINE SYSTEM
April 1st 2004

Available from Tractel (UK), the new Tirsafe height safety product can be used with the companys Tirfor to create a temporary horizontal lifeline system.

Featured in a new Tractel Height Safety catalogue, Tirsafe has been designed for use with the Tirfor and Maxiflex 8.3mm diameter wire rope. The shock absorbing system, that incorporates tension and fall indicators, is quick and easy to install and is made from aluminium and stainless steel. Tirfor is used to apply an optimum tension of 1.6kN that is indicated by the Tirsafe device. The built-in shock absorber on the Tirsafe reduces end loads to 30kN.

The lifeline accommodates up to two users with a single span of 30m. A minimum of 5m ground clearance is required for safety in the event of a fall.
