Tailor-made kits
October 1st 2004

Height safety and fall protection kits designed for specific types of jobs and packed in a single holdall, have been launched by Protecta, part of Capital Safety Group Northern Europe (CSGNE).

The kits are a cost effective and easy-to-use means of equipping a team for safe working above ground in compliance with relevant regulations. They have been launched in response to requests for an entry-level package that meets changes in legislation due later this year and include everything needed to carry out a particular task.

The Maintenance Kit, for example, contains a harness tested to EN 361 standard, with front and rear D rings and fully adjustable thigh and shoulder straps.

It comes with a 2m shock-absorbing lanyard tested to EN355, made from 10.5mm rope, and a Viper fall arrester, EN 353-2, with karabiners and 20m of 10.5mm rope. The 0.8m attachment sling is tested to EN 795 class B, and there is a Manucroche EN 362, in stainless steel with a 75mm opening.

The kit is completed by the Rebel fall arrest block.
