Lifting solutions December 1st 2004 When it came to erecting a new safety netting system on a warehouse under construction in Manchester, HAS opted for the safety, flexibility and cost-effectiveness of powered access.
The company used two HA16PX boom lifts and a JLG 33CRT scissor from AFI Aerial Platforms’ hire fleet to erect the Combisafe Net Barrier System that will protect roofers working on the construction of a bonded warehouse close to Manchester airport.
With an outreach of 9.6m, the two boom lifts enabled HAS to erect the netting without having to keep moving the machines.
At the same time, the 1.75m wide narrow access scissor lift was able to operate at the rear of the building where access was restricted.
The AFI machines were supplied to HAS by AFI’s Manchester depot, whose fleet has grown to more than 180 machines. More articles from AFI Uplift Ltd: |
