Tripod for use in confined spaces
August 1st 2008

Competitively-priced, the IKAR DB-A2 confined space tripod is now available in the UK. Distributed by IKAR GB, it is constructed from box section aluminium and is said to offer excellent strength to weight comparisons.

Weighing just 19kg, the DB-A2 accepts either two workers or one worker and a 250kg load-winch.

Offering rapid assembly, a stable base and large headroom, it accepts all IKAR HRA devices once fitted with the appropriate bracket. The cable then passes through a pulley connected to an eye-bolt supplied at the tripod head.

The Alko 901 load winch can also be assembled onto the DB-A2 in a similar manner.

The tripod can be supplied as a stand-alone piece of rescue equipment or as a package, with the appropriate bracket set, HRA device, pulley wheel and connectors. IKAR GB can also supply a rescue harness.
